New Glarus Brewing Announces The Return of Enigma
New Glarus,WI – New Glarus Brewing Company is proud to announce the return of Enigma. This brew, one of the brewery’s first sour browns, feels warm and smooth and brings to mind a mystery or a puzzle. Diploma Master Brewer Daniel Carey delivers on this definition with this complex brew. The rich sour brown ale is a delightfully smooth blend and difficult to describe. The mystery begins with wild yeast spontaneously fermenting the malted barley and cherries. The aroma of cherries greets you, and blends beautifully with the hint of vanilla and slightly smokey richness that are gifts from the Unlined Oak Casks. It has been called a bit sweet yet sour, fruity and spicy and expertly balanced.
In 2003 Enigma was awarded a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival and a bronze medal in the 2004 World Beer Cup and in 2007 it was recognized as “Best of the Midwest” at the U.S. Beer Tasting Championship. Enigma has found a place in the hearts of many loyal fans. In the annual beer vote held by the brewery, Enigma remains at high on the list of requested brews.
New Glarus Brewing Company Founder and President Deborah Carey’s thumbprint is on the bottle just to remind everyone that this is a real New Glarus Handcrafted beer.
