New Glarus Announces The 2023 Release of Enigma
(New Glarus, WI) – Today the New Glarus Brewing Company announced the release of Enigma.
New Glarus Brewing Company’s Enigma makes its return to the thumbprint series. Enigma is a sour brown ale spontaneously fermented in the brewery’s Wild Fruit Cave in New Glarus.
Based on a traditional Belgian-style Flanders red ale, Enigma is created by blending complementary sour brown ales. The beer is then allowed to age on cherries in unlined oak tanks. This process allows Enigma to pick up notes of cherry and vanilla, giving it its distinct and somehow undefinable character.
Enigma was released to distributors earlier this month and should be available to all retailers in Wisconsin.
The New Glarus Brewing Company Thumbprint series of beers are intended to be brewed one time as an expression of Brewmaster Dan Carey’s love for the artistry and craft of beer making. These beers are made in smaller batches with the beer enthusiast in mind.
Employee-owned, New Glarus Brewing Company is located in Green County Wisconsin, and has been crafting World Class brews for their friends in Wisconsin since 1993.
