New Belgium Brewing’s 2º Below Welcomes Winter With Style and Character
Now Available In Chicago, Winter Seasonal Has Become A Favorite For Warming Up The Chilly Season
Ft. Collins, Colorado – Pull out your mittens, scarves and beer opener: New Belgium Brewing’s 2º Below Winter Ale is back for the 2007-08 winter season. A winter advisory has been issued once again: brace yourself for a bright, warming blast of Sterling and Liberty hops with tawny-roasted malts, and get stocked up while you can. 2º Below is only available through the beginning of the New Year.
Available in 16 out of 18 New Belgium markets, and new to the roster of beers available in the Chicago area, 2º Below has made its presence known as the creative winter brew that illustrates New Belgium’s commitment to Belgian-style brewing.
2º Below goes through dry-hopping during fermentation, which creates a rosy, floral nose with a hint of pepper spice and estery undertones. Brewers and beer drinkers alike enjoy its bright, hoppy palate and cherry warm afterglow.
“2º Below is brewed through a special process that makes it different from all other New Belgium brews,” says Assistant Brewmaster Grady Hull. “We use a hop that isn’t typically used for dry-hopping and we also push it into a near-freezing state. The results are fantastic aromas, brilliant clarity and a delightful ale that warms the spirit.”
2º Below Winter Ale is available on draft and in bottles in the following New Belgium markets: Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Montana, Idaho, Illinois, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arkansas and parts of California.
