New Belgium Brewing CEO Steps Down
(FORT COLLINS) – Long-time New Belgium Brewing executive Christine Perich will depart from New Belgium by the end of November. After 16 years as the brewery’s CFO, COO, President and most recently CEO, Perich has decided to pursue new opportunities and in the interim enjoy additional time with her family. Christine started as New Belgium’s Chief Financial Officer in 2000 and has held leadership positions within the organization ever since. She played a key role in the brewery’s transition to 100% employee ownership in 2013 and was named CEO in 2015 when Co-Founder and then-CEO Kim Jordan assumed the role of Executive Chair of the Board of Directors.
“Christine has been a key member of New Belgium for many years and we are sad to see her go,” said Jordan. “We appreciate – and will miss – her many contributions. We wish her the best of luck and we are fortunate to have a strong executive team that will keep us focused on our immediate plans. The team has sown the seeds for some really exciting projects in 2017 and we are excited to see those bear fruit.”
Day to day planning and operations will be handled by the executive team while New Belgium considers candidates for the position.
“I have been so fortunate to have been a part of New Belgium for the past 16 years,” said Perich. “The industry of craft beer and the culture of NBB have made this part of my career fulfilling and exciting. New Belgium is in good hands with the brilliant leadership team in place and the future of NBB looks very bright! I am proud of what I have accomplished and I look forward to new adventures.”
New Belgium’s second brewery in Asheville is now fully online and the company expects to fill out the remainder of its national footprint in 2017.
