Los Angeles Ale Works Karma Kolsch Coming To Beer Bar Near You
The newest Los Angeles Ale Works beer is coming to a bar neer you!
Sa Wat Dee! Karma Kolsch will refresh your body and spirit. A soul-relaxing Kolsch backbone with gentle spicy notes of assam, ceylon, barley, vanilla, anise, and rubios.
Beer Style History: The Kolsch, originally from Cologne, Germany, is one of the lightest, if not the lightest, ales in existence. Its lightness is only rivalled by its delicateness and complexity. A true Kolsch should be on the drier side and have low or medium alcohol content. American brewpubs and breweries have based many of their lightest “Blonde” or “Golden” ales off the Kolsch, but tend to stray away from tradition in order to appeal to local tastes.
Special Ingredients: The Reinheitsgebot, the German Beer Purity Law, dictates that there should be nothing in beer other than barley malt, hops, water, and the recently added yeast. Karma Kolsch is based on our traditional German style “Das Kolsch” with the addition of a cold-infused Thai spiced tea.
Tasting Notes: Karma Kolsch plays off our soft and fruity “Das Kolsch” and adds pleasant floral notes provided by the Thai tea. Thai tea is similar to chai so you’ll find notes of vanilla, ceylon cinnamon, anise, and black assam earthiness. A truly floral bouquet makes this beer a pleasure to smell.
ABV: 5.0% — IBU: 23 — Glass: Traditional Fluted Kolsch Glass or Snifter
