Lazy Magnolia’s Southern Pecan Now In Bottles!
Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company Becomes Mississippi’s First Bottling Microbrewery Since Prohibition
Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company is very excited to announce the release of Southern Pecan, the Original Pecan Nut Brown Ale in 12 oz. Longneck Bottles!
Among the many things Mississippi has to be proud of in 2007, perhaps the grandest of them all is the release of Mississippi-brewed and bottled beer, brought to you by the state’s first and only packaging microbrewery, Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company of Kiln, MS.
This most recent news from Lazy Magnolia caps off a highly successful year of accolades, new additions and exciting newsworthy events. Having successfully expanded distribution into Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, Lazy Magnolia has taken another step toward its goal of becoming the Great Southern Brewery, and has its sights focused on other states throughout the South in 2008.
“I have been waiting a long time for this moment,” said Lazy Magnolia’s Owner/Brewster Leslie Henderson as she popped off a cap and hoisted the newly bottled Southern Pecan. “A toast in honor of the overwhelming support of our dedicated fans! Cheers Y’all!”
Lazy Magnolia will begin by bottling their flagship beer, Southern Pecan, the Original Pecan Nut Brown Ale, which won a bronze medal at the 2006 World Beer Cup in the Specialty Beer Category. As for what’s next on the lineup for the bottles, Henderson added, “Well, that’s up to you!” In keeping with the company’s motto, Henderson encourages everyone to share their thoughts via the brewery website (lazymagnolia.com). “Taking customer feedback to heart…that’s the essence of who we are and what we do.”
Small, local and regional craft microbreweries have been all the rage in 2007, having enjoyed a record-breaking growth rate in the beer industry once dominated by huge, corporate brewing conglomerates. Mississippi, with the birth of Lazy Magnolia nearly four years ago, became the last state in the U.S. to have a packaging brewery offering offsite sales to the public since the days of Prohibition.
In keeping with our mission statement, we have also created the online Lazy Magnolia Store, where you can find great gifts and brewery apparel. Be sure to order early if you want gifts to arrive before Christmas. Just hit the link on our mainpage at www.lazymagnolia.com or visit www.store.lazymagnolia.com.
The Lazy Magnolia Team wishes everyone a safe and happy Holiday Season and reminds everyone to enjoy responsibly.
Feel free to contact us at your convenience if there is anything we can do for you.
Cheers Y’all,
The Lazy Magnolia Family

My daughter-in-law got me 6 Southern Pecan near Meridian Ms. This is perhaps the best beer I have ever tasted and I have tried a lot. Smooth and rich in flavor, awesome brew. I live in Ky. Will it ever be available here? I have one left and I really hate to use it until I can find more.
