Latitude 33 Brewing – New Beers, Distribution Update and More
Latitude 33 Brewing of Vista, CA announces August Beer Releases, additions to tasting room staff, distribution growth and other new beers in the pipeline.
August Beer Releases
CC Double Hump IPA — This weekend Camel Corps Double Hump returns to taps in the tasting room after a 3 month hiatus. This batch of the 10% monster is especially delicious — definitely worthy of two humps (I know, I had some for breakfast yesterday). Expect to see Double Hump hitting the taps in better pubs and restaurants houses near you later next week.
Breakfast with Wilford — And speaking of breakfast, We’re also bringing our celebrated Breakfast with Wilford oatmeal-coffee stout next week. Time to get your Diabeetus on! (As always, thanks to La Costa Coffee Roasting for hooking us up with the phenomenal coffee for that brew.) BwW will hit our taps in the tasting room on August 22 and should be county-wide by the following week.
New Faces in the Tasting Room
We have a slight line up change in the tasting room. If you haven’t been by recently, drop in and meet two of our new staffers, Kristin and Deanna. They’ll be happy to pour you a fresh Latitude 33 brew and talk craft beer to your heart’s delight.
Distribution Growth
Beyond brewing those seasonal favorites, we’ve also been hard at work expanding our brewing capacity to cover our coming distribution growth. In the next couple of weeks we’ll wrap our new distribution contract and begin shipping beer to Los Angeles and Orange Counties which will give mean you’ll be able to enjoy Latitude 33 brews everywhere in California from the 32nd to 34th parallels! Expect the announcement and details some time around Labor Day.
More Bottles
As part of our distribution expansion you’ll also be seeing Double Hump and Wilford in bottles soon! The label approvals just came through from both the state and fed, so we’ve given the printer’s a thumbs up and are now waiting for the labels to get here. Expect to see these beers join our others on the shelves in September. We’ve got a couple other labels in the works as well, so you can expect even more bottles from us this fall.
Upcoming Brews
Finally, we’ve also got some new brews in the works. This week we will be brewing up S. Santa Fe Imperial Pilsner, our nod to our home city of Vista’s 50th anniversary. More details on SSF will be available in a few weeks. And of course, Humptoberfest is right around the corner, so we’re working on getting Dry Hump IPA brewed very soon (lots of Meridian and Cascade hops and fermented with oak in the tank). Wet Hump, our Fresh-hoped IPA shouldn’t be far behind — it really just depends on the hop harvest.
We’re also making preparations for the the new Slater’s 50/50 brew to be released during San Diego Beer Week. While an annual release celebrating Slater’s 50/50′s birthday, the brew itself changes from year to year. Last year it was a (award-winning) smoked red ale. This year we’re doing a smoked porter aged on Calvados oak. Mmmm…. I can taste it already.
Ok, that’s about it for now. Drop by the brewery and say hello if you get a chance (I don’t get out much), and make sure to adjust your attitude with a little Latitude 33 when you’re enjoying good beer.
