With 10 years of award-winning beer, Buzzards Bay Brewing is proud of being a vital part of the South Coast landscape and brewing scene. We were the first microbrewery on the South Coast and we have been committed to making outstanding beer in an environmentally responsible and community-oriented way since we opened our doors. Our award-winning lagers are made in a state-of-the-art carbon-negative brewing facility, and the 140 acres that surround the brewery have all been placed in a land conservation trust to insure the land will forever be preserved as either open space or working farmland. To us, this is the right way to do business, and the right way to live our lives.

Let’s face it; right now times are tough for EVERYONE. Our business is enormously affected by the state of the economy, as is the case with all the local restaurants, bars and liquor stores. Being a small family business, like Buzzards Bay Brewing, means that the vast majority of our business comes from locally owned places and our neighbors. And after more than a decade we’ve seen neighborhood restaurants, local bars and small mom-and-pop liquor stores disappear over the years. We’d like to believe that when the going gets tough, the tough support their own, and that most would rather spend their hard-earned money with a local than send the revenues upstate, out of state or out of the country.
We are not asking for a bailout, but we are asking for your consideration. We ask that when you go shopping or dining, that you show your support for the local guys by patronizing locally owned restaurants, bars and package stores … and we’d really appreciate it if you’d order a Buzzards Bay Lager or two. We are proud to be your local brewery, and proud of the contributions we make to the community, we’d hate to think that all of our efforts to be good neighbors and promote “buy local” would be fruitless. We don’t want to come upon any “closed” signs in our neck of the woods and think to ourselves, “if I only knew, I would have gone by more often.”
