Intuition Ale Works Retires People’s Pale Ale

(Jacksonville, FL) – This summer we will be retiring one of our flagship beers, People’s Pale Ale, from our year-round canning program.

Six years ago, People’s became the first craft beer to be canned in the state of Florida. It’s had a special history ever since and has helped introduce Intuition to thousands of craft beer drinkers in Jacksonville. Saying goodbye to one of our favorites has not been an easy decision.

We’ve always made a point to listen closely to our customers and use their feedback to inspire us creatively. It has become clear to us that People’s is not nearly as popular as it once was. While the demand for our other core beers has continued to increase in recent years, we sell fewer and fewer six-packs of People’s every month. This trend has not been discouraging. Rather, we view it as evidence that the dynamic craft scene in Jacksonville is thriving and providing beer drinkers with more and more styles and flavors to choose from each year.

With that, we’d like to announce that Daybreak Grapefruit Gose will soon transition from seasonal favorite to part of our permanent canning program. Daybreak has been overwhelmingly popular since its release last year, regularly selling out in our taproom and moving quickly off retail shelves around town. It was conceived as an approachable, entry-level sour that is perfect for drinking during extended periods. We think its citrus-forward flavor and salty finish make it a classic Florida beer, ideal for taking to the beach, on the boat, or on a camping trip. We are excited to give it a wider release and hope that our customers will enjoy it as much as we do.

For all of the diehard People’s fans out there…fear not! People’s will still be available in the taproom and around Jacksonville on draft year-round. There are no plans to ever take it away as a core draft offering.
