Idle Hands Announces The Official Release of D’aison
Happy Spring (finally)! In the spirit of this wonderful season, we’re happy to announce the official release of D’aison, our dark saison. As you may recall, D’aison was a one-off beer we introduced early last summer, and it became so popular (thanks to your voting) we decided to release it as our 2013 spring seasonal. D’aison is currently available at the brewery in growlers and is already starting to show up at our draft accounts. You can also find these green-labeled bottles on retail shelves in about a week.
Darkness Prevails, our Tart Belgian Style Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels, is still available in limited quantities at the brewery only. Even if you tried it at Beer Advocate’s Extreme Beerfest Night of the Barrels, you’ll want to try it again from the bottle as we’ve found it to be much more complex in this format. We’ll be tasting it at the brewery on Saturdays, while supplies last.
Thanks for everyone who stopped by for a visit at the Ball Square Grand tasting last week. We’re glad you enjoyed Fontini (Greek for “luminous/bright”), our belgian golden strong made with lemon and oak. There were only a few cases left at Ball Square as of last week and we only have < 1 case left at the brewery for purchase – so don’t wait as there are no current plans to brew it again.
Switching gears, literally . . . for any cyclists participating in the May 18th Pedals 2 Pints ride, look for our new Idle Hands bicycling jerseys on the route. We’re excited to make these full-zip tops made by Champion Systems available for sale now, with availability at the brewery by the 18th. We’re offering both men’s club cut and women’s cut in both red and black. Not sure of your size? Stop by the brewery on Thursday (5-8 p) or Saturday (12-4 p) during growler hours. We have a few size samples to try on (women’s M – XL; men’s XS – M). Interested? Email [email protected] by close of business on Saturday, April 7th with your size and color preference to pre-order your jersey.
Cheers,
Chris & Grace
