Hi-Wire Brewing Announces Three Beers for July ’18
(Asheville, NC) – Hi-Wire Brewing is excited to announce their July 2018 beer releases, including Horchata 10W-40 Imperial Stout, a Vintage Sour Ale, and Zirkusfest Oktoberfest Lager.
On Saturday, July 7 at 12pm from both their South Slope Sour & Wild Ale facility and Big Top Production brewery, Hi-Wire Brewing will be releasing their first-ever Horchata 10W-40 Imperial Stout (8% ABV). This decadent stout boasts huge notes of fresh vanilla, amaretto, and cinnamon with an incredibly smooth and chocolatey finish. To celebrate the release, Hi-Wire Brewing will be making Horchata 10W-40 floats and serving flan almond pudding rice cakes from NorthStar Bakery. Available in 16oz 4-packs, this beer will see very limited distribution in Hi-Wire’s footprint.
Taking home the Gold Medal at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival in the German-Style Maerzen beer-style category, customers will be able to enjoy Hi-Wire Brewing’s Zirkusfest Oktoberfest (6% ABV) beginning the last week of July. Zirkusfest is a traditional Maerzen that boasts all the flavors one wants in a rich Oktoberfest lager without the heavy finish. The use of Munich malt provides upfront biscuity and honey flavors that fade into a dry finish. Zirkusfest Oktoberfest will be available on draught and in six-packs throughout Hi-Wire Brewing’s entire distribution footprint, as well as both of Hi-Wire’s taprooms.
Coming out of their Sour & Wild Ale program for the first time this July is Hi-Wire Brewing’s Vintage Sour Ale (8.11% ABV). Hi-Wire’s specialty brewing team created a tribute to this classic “beer for aging” in stainless tanks with London Ale yeast for 2 weeks before resting in a red wine foeder on brett for 11 months. This one came to life with huge notes of candy peaches, dark fruit, and subtle earl grey on the nose, balanced by flavors of nutty toffee and a soothing sourness. Vintage Sour Ale will be available on draft and in 375 ml cork and cage bottles beginning Saturday, July 21 at 12pm from Hi-Wire Brewing’s South Slope Sour & Wild Ale facility. This beer will not see distribution.
