Hangar 24 Addresses Possible Sanguinello Packaging Issue
(Redlands,CA) – Hangar 24 releases Important info about Sanguinello bottles released last week in 3rd Quarter pickups for Barrel Club members.
We’re rigorous about quality control here at Hangar 24, and we try to never let a single bottle of beer out the door that doesn’t represent our quality standards.
It’s for this reason that we’re emailing about a potential issue with a handful of bottles of Sanguinello, our blood orange sour released last Saturday at the brewery. We’ve had a handful of reports of bottles leaking through the wax, an issue we’ve traced back to a faulty capper which has already been angrily tossed out a window and replaced. If your bottle looks and feels fine, you don’t have to worry, it’s only an issue with a small number of bottles and it should already be apparent if your bottle has a faulty seal.
Check your bottle, and if you see holes in the wax caused by a slight release of pressure or any leaking at all, come on by the brewery and we’ll replace your bottle with one that we’ve confirmed to be properly sealed.
Thanks for your understanding, and trust us when we say that leaking bottles of a limited release beer, especially one as delicious as Sanguinello, might just be the thing that keeps us awake at night more than anything else. We work to make some of the most delicious liquid on Earth, and the thought of any of it not making it into your glass to be enjoyed is a real shame.
Thank you all for understanding, and have a great July 4th weekend filled with plenty of good craft beer!

Better than an infection or other sort of issue that isn’t apparent without opening the bottle.
