Funky Buddha Creates Fuhgeddaboudit Red for Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza
Fort Lauderdale, FL – Every great pie deserves a great beer to go with it. Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, the South Florida-based concept that uses authentic coal-burning ovens to create “well done pizza,” teamed with Fort Lauderdale-based Funky Buddha Brewery to create Fuhgeddaboudit Red (5.4% ABV). This fiery ale will debut exclusively at Anthony’s 17 South Florida restaurants Friday, Feb. 14.
Dubbed an Italian-American ale, Fuhgeddaboudit Red is crafted with a blend of European barley and English hops. Flavorful enough to balance the intense crunch of coal-fired crust yet refined precisely to pair with delicate tomato sauce, Fuhgeddaboudit Red Ale is the perfect complement to Anthony’s “well done” pizza and Italian Soul Food.
“When I first tasted Funky Buddha’s brews, I knew it was a great fit,” said Anthony Bruno, founder and CEO of Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza. “Their creativity and great taste for unique craft beers convinced me they were the perfect match for Anthony’s.”
“This collaboration makes so much sense to us because, as companies, we share a lot in common,” says KC Sentz, Owner and General Manager at Funky Buddha Brewery. “With both of our roots here in the Fort Lauderdale area and our commitment to the finest, natural ingredients, this beer will be a perfect pairing.”
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza locations that will have Fuhgeddaboudit Red on tap include Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Pompano Beach and Weston in Broward; Aventura, Coral Gables, Doral, Kendall, Miami Lakes and Pinecrest in Miami-Dade; Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart and Wellington in Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast.
