Full Sail Brewing re-launches “LTD 02”
Hood River, Oregon – Full Sail Brewing Company proudly announces the return of LTD 02 as part of their seasonal lager series. For the last month or so, the Full Sail brew-masters have been busy brewing up a new batch LTD 02, which will be ready to bottle, keg and ship. “Originally brewed for spring last year, we’re bringing it back, with the same recipe as the first time, and once again, available only for a ltd time,” said Full Sail’s Executive Brewmaster, Jamie Emmerson.
Since the initial release last year, both of Full Sail’s limited series lager recipes have developed a following of both customers and beer critics winning gold medals at the World Beer Championships and becoming one of the fastest growing new beers in the U.S. (I.R.I 12/02/07)
According to Jamie, LTD recipe 02 is a seriously tasty import-style lager that is beautifully balanced. It’s a light-bodied, golden colored lager with soft malt undertones and finishes crisp and clean – perfect for the warmer seasons. “LTD means Limited Edition. But around here it means something even more: Live The Dream. We are excited to be able to branch out and brew some interesting lager beers as they are such a huge part of brewing tradition. It is one of the best parts about being an independent, employee owned company – we get to celebrate our creativity as well as the rich heritage of beer styles,” said Brewmaster Jamie Emmerson. “It is such a pleasure to brew these beers and have them develop such a fervent following – it is why I love my job!”
Novice and hardcore beer enthusiasts alike, will enjoy the bottom of the bright orange six-pack that features an easy to read chart of “Today’s Recipe,” including hop (Czech Saaz, Styrian Goldings) and malt varieties (2 row pale, caramel, Vienna and wheat), plato (16 degrees), I.B.U. (32), alcohol by volume (6.4) and any special ingredients.
