Fort Collins Brewery American-Style Barley Wine Kicks Off The Savor Series
(Fort Collins, CO) – Fort Collins Brewery (FCB) is proud to announce the release of a new signature series that will appeal to adventurous palates, beer geeks, and lovers of limited release craft brews. “The Savor Series line is designed by taking a close look at styles that don’t hold back,” says FCB Co-Owner and General Manager Tina Peters. “Kettle-souring, barrel-aging, and wild yeast strains are among a few of the inspirations for the Savor Series.”
American-Style Barley Wine kicks off the Savor Series in February. Shaun Salyards, FCB Brewer, explains that, “barley wines tend to lean towards overwhelming alcohol or sweet flavors. So, we’re aiming to brew a beer that has extreme elements but remains balanced.” Brewed with Columbus hops and dry-hopped with El Dorado, the American-Style Barley Wine has 10.5% ABV and produces a robust mouthfeel with hop notes along the way to produce a remarkably smooth finish. By dry hopping the Barley Wine, FCB adds aromas of tropical fruits and piney resin that put a twist on the fruit forward body of this boozy beer.
For those that enjoy reading about their delicious brew, Savor Series bottle labels will include detailed descriptions of the beer as well as recommended cheese pairings. The Savor Series come in 500 ml bottles, pairing well with individuals that like to savor and enjoy their craft brew in one sitting.
The Savor Series lineup will be released in small batch, limited quantities available on draft and at participating liquor stores. For more information about the Savor Series, call 970-472-1499.
