FiftyFifty 2012 Eclipse Imperial Stout Release

October 22, 2012 (Los Angeles, CA) — The 2012 EclipseTM Imperial Stout series will be released by FiftyFifty Brewing Company in less than two months. This year will mark the 6th anniversary of this limited edition beer release. A perennial favorite, the brewery earmarks a portion of its TotalityTM Imperial Stout production and ages it for a minimum of 180 days in various Heaven Hill Distillery barrels to create the award-winning Eclipse Imperial Stout line which has gained a cult following amongst craft beer connoisseurs.

This year’s Eclipse offerings have been aged in six different Heaven Hill barrels: Bernheim Original Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey, Elijah Craig© 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Evan Williams© Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon, Old Fitzgerald© Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Rebel Yell© Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, and Rittenhouse© Straight Rye Whiskey. The Rebel Yell variety is extremely limited and available only at the brewery or via the brewery’s futures program which sold out earlier this year.

The official release party for this epic beer will be held at FiftyFifty’s brewpub in Truckee, CA on December 6, 2012. Eclipse will make its way to retail shelves shortly after the release party. FiftyFifty Brewing recently signed a distribution contract with California Craft DistributorsTM during the Great American Beer Festival for distribution within California. The brewery also has distribution agreements in place with distributors in Arizona, Oregon, Illinois, Philadelphia, New York, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.
