Dry Dock Brewing Apricot Blonde Hits Shelves in 12 Packs
(Aurora, CO) – Beginning in May, Aurora’s Dry Dock Brewing Company will offer its canned Apricot Blonde ale in 12-packs. This misty golden blonde ale is fermented with shiploads of fruit. It finishes crisp and clean, creating endless pairing potential with foods like salmon, Monterey jack cheese, and lemon custard. Apricot Blonde comes in at 5.1% ABV and is barely bitter with 17 IBUs.
This year, Dry Dock’s Apricot Blonde won a silver World Beer Cup® in the fruit beer category. In 2012, the brewery took home a gold medal from the Great American Beer Festival® for the Apricot Blonde. The beer has received six medals at the Colorado State Fair since the brewery’s inception in 2005.
Dry Dock was the first brewery in Aurora that began as a small, speakeasy-style bar next door to its sister business, The Brew Hut homebrew supply shop, at 15120 E. Hampden Avenue. To-date, it’s one of Colorado’s top producing breweries, made possible by its new production facility, North Dock, which is now canning beer. The new brewery at 2801 Tower Road canned more than 2 million cans of Amber Ale, Hop Abomination IPA, Hefeweizen, and Apricot Blonde in its first year canning in 2013. Around 6,000 cans of Dry Dock beer were opened each day last year.
Dry Dock only distributes only in the state of Colorado. Find Dry Dock Brewing online at drydockbrewing.com. Follow the company on Facebook at facebook.com/DryDockBrewing and on Twitter @DryDockBrewing.
