Drakes Brewing Expansion News for Spring 2012

Drakes Brewing just finished up their Hopocolypse rollout, and has shared some exciting expansion news for those who can’t get enough Drakes. Cheers!

We are working steadily on construction in the brewery with the addition of three 60 bbl tanks back in late Sept. and two 80 bbl tanks just this past month. We also have two more 60 bbls tanks we are hoping to receive by the summer. Further, we are refinishing the floors in the brewery and installing a new 20 bbl boil kettle to replace the 15 bbl we’ve been using since 1989. Lastly, we are all eagerly anticipating the installation of our new bottling line this spring or summer, and with it we will be able to bottle more styles. All in all… we’re gearing up for more beer.

On the beer end, Hopocalypse is winding down, and we are starting to gear up for the next seasonal, Alpha Session- a NorCal Bitter/ Session Ale- that we have done before in one-off batches. It’s 3.8% ABV, 50 IBUs and highly hopped and dry-hopped with West Coast hops.
