Dogfish Head Hits Shelves In Iowa This Week
(Milton, DE) – Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is thrilled to announce that its off-centered brews are headed to the great state of Iowa. Consumers can look for Dogfish on shelves and taps beginning February 19. The Delaware-based craft brewery partnered with Johnson Brothers Liquor Company to bring Dogfish Head’s full portfolio of flavorful ales to residents throughout the state of Iowa, taking the company’s total market distribution to 40 states and Washington, D.C.
Dedicated to consistently delivering goodness to its fans, Dogfish Head strategized and laid the groundwork for a forward-looking growth plan for Iowa and beyond. The brewery enjoyed explosive double digit growth in 2017 and tripled the size of its sales team to further support its current distribution partners throughout the country. Along with its diverse and innovative portfolio of craft beers, Dogfish redesigned its artwork, revamped its packaging, premiered a selection of its beers in cans, announced its 2018 artist collaboration with Marq Spusta for the Off-Centered Art Series, and unveiled Dragons & YumYums, an ale brewed in partnership with American indie rock legends, The Flaming Lips.
“We’re excited to ship our innovative beers to Dogfish fans in Iowa and to begin a great and long-lasting relationship with the beer drinkers, retailers, and distributor partners in the state,” said Sam Calagione, founder and CEO of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery. “We have our canning and bottling lines pumping out a ton of beer and enough brewing capacity to ensure we can keep retailers well stocked with our off-centered, well-differentiated family of beers for years to come.” Dogfish Head grew beer sales 18% in 2017 based on the success of their High Five brands – 60 Minute IPA, 90 Minute Imperial IPA, SeaQuench Ale, Flesh & Blood IPA and Namaste White.
Dogfish fans in Iowa can expect to see a full gamut of the brewery’s iconic, fan-favorite beers, including 90 Minute IPA, Namaste White, Indian Brown, 60 Minute IPA, SeaQuench Ale, Lupu-Luau IPA, Flesh & Blood IPA, Palo Santo Marron, Burton Baton, Midas Touch and seasonal releases. Limited quantities of specialty brews and occasional rarities will also be available throughout the year. Dogfish Head Brews and Iowa Chews
For those wanting a bite with their brews, Dogfish Head recommends pairing these delicious off-centered pints with some classic Iowa dishes.
Try pairing taco pizza with 60 Minute IPA. This East Coast IPA features piney, citrusy hops that complement the pies’ spicy ground beef topping beautifully.
SeaQuench Ale is the perfect brew to pair with breakfast pizza. Its light, crisp, and slightly tart body works well with all sorts of breakfast foods.
Choose Namaste White with a slice of rhubarb pie. The beer features clove and lemongrass-centric flavors that balance the tartness of the rhubarb.
