Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA Making Appearances in Southern California
Like many other Southern California residents, we learned that Dogfish had strategically skipped over CA for the bottle release of 120 Minute IPA in order to accommodate some other beer loving regions. There wasn’t a ton of belly aching, but at the same time, we sure would have loved have gotten are hands on some.
A few weeks back, Blue Palms Brewhouse of Hollywood released an INSANE tap list for their 3rd Anniversary party, and one beer that caught everyone off guard was Dogfish Head’s 120 Minute IPA.
Then, last week 38 Degrees in Alhambra, CA held a special gathering in honor of the tapping of a small keg of 120 Minute IPA. I thought surely there was “some guy” who happened to have “some kegs” fall off his truck, knowing that 120 Minute wasn’t slated for So Cal. WRONG. We just got info that a very select list of bars that serve craft beer MAY get small draft quantities of 120 Minute. When I say MAY, I mean there is a good chance if all goes well and this is a last minute surprise. Here is what we’ve heard, please don’t hold me or anyone else to this until each establishment makes an official announcement. Then, and only then can you get emotional.
