Crooked Stave News for Fall 2012
Last Wednesday we opened our Denver taproom at the Crooked Stave Barrel Cellar for the first time. This was the first time interested drinkers could come in and taste a full line up of Crooked Stave beers. We had a few blasts from the past on tap like Petite Sour and Wild Wild Brett Blue as well as a few barrel aged beers including L’Brett d’Or our golden sour that was aged in Leopolds Peach Whiskey barrel which previously held New Belgium Love. All in all we had five Bretanomyces barrel-aged and sour beers on tap as well as a barrel fermented kombucha blend.
In the next few weeks we’ll be bottling Surette Reserva Chardonnay barrel-aged, Oculus a golden sour produced with 100% Colorado ingredients including Vignole grapes bio-dynamically grown here in Colorado and two versions of Sentience our Wild Quad, one aged in Cognac barrels and the other aged in Bourbon barrels.
These beers are available through our Cellar Reserve membership and some will be available in our taproom on draft during GABF as we’ll be tapping a new sour barrel-age beer each day during the week of GABF. Our Taproom wil be open Sun thru Sun from ~10am to ~9pm. Stop by as we are located close to the Downtown Convention center where GABF is held.
