Maui Brewing – Maui was featured on foxnews.com, you can follow this link to view the story. They will be launching a charity tribute beer for the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation called Flyin HI.P Hay. Here’s some info about this 6.8% 68 IBU Beer: “Glen Hay Falconer is Scott Freitas’s mentor and best friend. This India Pale Ale was brewed with Falconers Flight, which is a hop blend of several varieties of commercial and experimental hops commonly found in IPA style beers. The base is 2-Row malted barley along with Crystal, Munich, and Dextrin malts. In Spring 2011, this commemorative beer will be release in cans and partial proceeds will be donated to the Glen Hay Falconer Foundation. This foundation provides brewing scholarships for brewers and home brewers. “Live to the fullest. Brew to the fullest.”
Texas will be receiving their first shipment of Maui April 1. Mana Wheat will be popping up in more places as well.
Oskar Blues – Oskar Blues unveiled a new beer at the Gordon Knight Birthday party last week, called One Hit Wonder IPA, which will be at The Tasty Weasel for a limited time. Here are the details of this beer: ” Fruity esters and generous dry-hopping give this 9% ABV ale the aroma of tropical fruit while a touch of English crystal malt provides the perfect backdrop for tangy hop flavors of tangerine and mango. Because sometimes two is one toke over the line.”
Cigar City – A brief one from Joey at CCB “Tyler from The Bruery will be coming from the 6th to the 11th of April to brew the return collaboration. It will be saison-esque and aged on grapefruit wood.
