Craft Beer News Roundup: Ballast Point, AleSmith, Grand Teton, Marin Brewing
Where were we? Anyway, here is some craft beer news tidbits from Ballast Point Brewing, AleSmith Brewing, Grand Teton Brewing as well as Marin Brewing. Cheers and Welcome Back
Ballast Point Brewing – We just heard last week Indra Kunindra is coming back, now news of Longfin Lager coming to 6 pack:
“It is a tad bit warm in good old San Diego today…very happy that one of the 50+ styles of beer we make is Longfin Lager…a great drinking 4.9% ABV lager that tastes so good on a warm day…just available on draft now…but six pack 12oz bottles coming in Sept…”
AleSmith Brewing – The AleSmith Barrel Aged Decadence online sale was an overall hit. Of note, they used Brown Paper Tickets. Compared to The Bruery’s Black Tuesday e-commerce vendor and Three Floyds e-commerce vendor, this was a breeze. It wasn’t completely snag free, as some people reported of “gunked up” web browser, but just about anyone who wanted two bottles was able to for about two hours. Anything that got gunked up on the software side would reconcile and make more bottles available 15 minutes after the blunder. I know that all sounds too technical, but basically the sale went very smooth. No line cutters, no mules nobody with crazy disguises returning for more.
Grand Teton Brewing– “Oktoberfest is coming soon. To help celebrate the season, we’ve once again brewed a special batch of Marzen Lager. In line with tradition, our Fest Bier Marzen Lager was brewed in the spring and has been cellaring all summer waiting for the perfect time to be tapped. Contrary to popular belief, Oktoberfest actually starts in September. These kegs are now available and will be sold until gone. Hope to see in the pub before it runs out! Learn more…”
Marin Brewing – ” Marin Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of a very special & very limited brew, “Cuvée Rogé”. It is an American Sour Ale inspired by the Gueuze Lambics produced near Brussels in Belgium.
Cuvée Rogé is a blend of brews, some 1.5 years old & some 6 years old. Both were aged in the same special chardonnay barrel with a variety of “bugs” (microorganisms). Several months ago we blended the brew. Cuvée Rogé is a refreshing ans assertively sour beer with a complex array of aromas and flavors ranging from citrus to barnyard with wine-like qualities and a dry, tart finish.
Cuvée Rogé will be available only on draught and only at Marin Brewing Company.
Cuvée Rogé has been awarded GOLD medals at the World Beer Championships, The California State Fair and the Los Angeles International Beer Festival in the last year. You must come down and try a glass of this super delicious & super limited beer!!Check out this link to watch a video of one of our brewers talking about this beer MARIN BREWING COMPANY’s Cuvee Roge ”
