Clown Shoes Beer Releases Peacan Pie Porter in Time For Thanksgiving

Lexington, MA – Clown Shoes Beer is ready to release their much-heralded fifth beer, a Thanksgiving seasonal dubbed Pecan Pie Porter. It will be available throughout Massachusetts (Arborway Imports) and Rhode Island (Craft Brewers Guild of R.I.) in 22-ounce “bomber” bottles, as well as in a limited number of 1/2 barrel and1/6-barrel kegs.

A special release party is scheduled for Tuesday November 16 at Eastern Standard in downtown Boston beginning at 5pm.

Pecan Pie Porter comes to the market during a time of thanks and celebration. November is a month when family and friends come together to celebrate good times and great feasts. The beer was designed to fit in with the things that make Thanksgiving special–warmth, aroma, comfort, and pleasure. The nose is reflective of a freshly baked Pecan Pie, complete with hints of butter, cocoa, and a distinct nuttiness that resonates throughout.  The porter base blends a subtle sweetness that intertwines with notes of cocoa, coffee, nuts, and caramel. Pecan Pie Porter can be described as a pleasant beer perfectly suitable for anyone from the casual drinker to the connoisseur.

This will be Clown Shoes’ first seasonal beer. Less than 300 cases will be made available to the Massachusetts and Rhode Island market. “We view this as a special beer for a special time. We crafted it to fit in with the upcoming holiday and don’t expect it to be on shelves much past Thanksgiving.” In addition to the Pecan Pie Porter, Clown Shoes has a very versatile lineup of year-round beers that have been growing in popularity over the past few months. Hoppy Feet Black IPA is considered one of the finest examples of the style. Brown Angel’s hop profile was recently tweaked, and fresh batches of Clementine White Ale and Eagle Claw Fist Imperial Amber have made their way to the market in the last few weeks. The future looks bright for Clown Shoes, as a special anniversary release and a new year-round offering will be available in the next few months.
