The Bruery Filmishmish and Smoking Wood Return This Month
(Placencia,CA) – The Bruery announced the return of Filmishmish and Smoking Wood
Filmishmish 5.8% abv Filmishmish, an Arabic term for “when the apricots bloom”, is a barrel aged sour blonde ale to which apricots have been added. The beer’s already fruity esters are enhanced by the hint of fresh apricot jam and wood shavings. Filmishmish is a well balanced beer, keeping the apricot and oak character present, but putting the flavor of the well formed sour ale at the forefront. (Editor’s note: This beer will be sold to the RS and HS clubs, and supply permitting will be released at the tasting room on draft and possibly offered to Preservation Society) .
Smoking Wood (Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged) 13% abv. Brewed with beachwood and cherrywood smoked malt, Smoking Wood is a delicious demonstration of what wood has to offer when it comes to beer. This imperial smoked porter is brewed with a hefty amount of rye malt, contributing to a full body and light spiciness. Toasty oak, caramel and vanilla flavors balance the smokiness, contributing to an intense yet refined flavor profile.
