Bike Dog Brewing Company Coming to West Sacramento Summer 2013

Sacramento, CA – Work is underway to make Bike Dog Brewing Company West Sacramento’s first nano-brewery and tasting room, brewing small batches of crazy fresh beer. Nano-is smaller than micro, Bike Dog’s brewery will have the capacity to make just six kegs (or 3 barrels in industry speak) per batch. As work progresses team members for the founding Bike Dog Beer League are being recruited.

Brewing small batches means the beer will always be amazingly fresh and allows for the flexibility to mix it up a little with new recipes getting brewed on a regular basis. Because it will be brewed in such small batches, much of the beer will be available only for purchase in the Bike Dog tasting room – allowing customers to see the beer go from grain to glass and hobnob with the brewers and allowing the brewers to personally nurture the local craft beer community.

To help kick-start taproom improvements while giving the local craftbeer drinking community a taste of being part of a new brewery, Bike Dog is launching an annual Beer League and is seeking a founding team. Membership privileges range from an exclusive invite the brewery’s grand opening, early access to special releases, naming your own taproom seat to hosting a private event at the brewery. Bike Dog is co-founded by four Sacramentans with a love for bikes, dogs and craft beer. The brewers fell in love with the endless flavor profiles available through brewing and the delicate hop profiles only available in incredibly fresh beer and want to share that love with West Sacramento. “We want to build a craft beer community in West Sacramento through our tasting room and future restaurant partners” said Bike Dog Brewmaster/Co-Founder Pete Atwood. “Our brewery and tasting room will offer West Sacramentans a comfortable, relaxed environment to learn about and enjoy really fresh Bike Dog beer.”

The brewery and tasting room are located at 2534 Industrial Blvd. #110, in the shadows of the Port of West Sacramento, near the neighborhoods of Southport and old West Sacramento. Licensing and construction on the brewery is under way with an anticipated opening this summer.
