Angel City Brewing Hosts Women in Beer Panel March 28, 2021
(Los Angeles, CA) – In honor of Women’s History Month, Angel City Brewery will host a Women in Beer panel on March 28, 2021 5-6p PST. The panel is part of Angel City’s new quarterly series highlighting historically underrepresented groups within the food and beverage industry. The line-up includes a star-studded group of women, featuring:
- Ting Su – Eagle Rock Brewery and Women’s Beer Forum
- Corissa Hernandez – Co-owner, Xelas in Boyle Heights
- Franny Cannon – Executive Director at LA Brewer’s Guild and LA Beer Week, Associate Editor, The Full Pint
- Alex Nowell – Head Brewer, Three Weavers
- Blanca Quintero – Assistant General Manager, Highland Park Brewery and Board Member, Pink Boots Society
In addition to this amazing group of women, Angel City Brewery’s own Zaneta Santana will be moderating. Zaneta is the General Manager at Angel City, as well as founder of Zaneta’s Vegan Kitchen and 1/3 of the homebrewer team at South Central Brewing Company.
“As a first-generation Mexican-Cuban American woman from Southeast L.A., I recognize that my family, culture, community, and hardships made me the person I am today. Many of us from marginalized communities face internalized oppression and imposter syndrome which requires ongoing support and unlearning to overcome. That’s especially why representation is so important–to see people who look like you doing big things!” said Zaneta Santana, General Manager of Angel City Brewery. “This panel series was created to hold space for the amazing leaders in our community; to learn from one another and share our stories in hopes that we’ll open doors for the future of our industry.”
The panel schedule will be in Q&A style with some discussion, ending with a 15-minute portion for participants to answer audience members’ questions. The panel will be hosted on the Brewery’s YouTube channel, where it will be published. Keep an eye on social channels for details on the Brewery’s next panel, which will feature LGBTQA+-focused panelists.

LA is often viewed through a lens of Hollywood, glitz and glamour, but at Angel City we see things differently. It’s an LA that’s as creative as it is diverse, and our beer is no exception. Through our beers and hand-chosen partnerships we seek to bring the allure of the Arts District experience to greater LA and beyond.
