AleSmith Brewing: Barrel-Aged Noble Empire & Reforged XXI Release Info
(San Diego, California) — AleSmith Brewing Company is releasing two new and never-before-seen craft beers – Barrel-Aged Noble Empire and Reforged XXI – as the award-winning brewery continues its 2016 specialty releases. Both beers are limited releases in 750-milliliter bottles and will be available for sale in the AleSmith gift shop while quantities last.
Barrel-Aged Noble Empire: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial English-style Porter
Noble Empire is a never-before-released beer that was brewed specifically to be aged in bourbon barrels as a limited release. This brawny, complex, imperial version of a traditional English-style porter was created as a tribute to Empire Street, the former street name of the brewery’s new location.
Noble Empire is rich with chocolate, caramel, coffee, and lightly roasty flavors that are perfectly balanced by the vanilla and oak of the barrel. The result: a smooth and delicately balanced beer that is full-bodied, chewy and intensely flavorful. This beer ages well for many years.
Reforged XXI: Bourbon, Red Wine, & Rum Barrel-Aged Ale
Every year AleSmith takes stock of the variety of oak barrels in its cellar to create a unique and superior blend anticipated by AleSmith fans everywhere. This year, AleSmith is releasing the second iteration in its Reforged barrel-blend series.
Reforged XXI is a precise blend of three of AleSmith’s rare barrel-aged offerings – rum barrel-aged Old Numbskull (Old Rumskull), red wine barrel-aged Quad, and bourbon barrel-aged Noble Empire Imperial Porter. This unique blend creates a full-bodied, complex beer with flavors of vanilla, oak, chocolate, plums and cherry that make it a perfect beer for holiday toasts and cozy celebrations. This beer ages well for many years.
