Adelbert’s Brewery Announces California Distribution and Release of The Traveler
(AUSTIN,TX) – Adelbert’s Brewery, a Belgian-style brewery based in Austin Texas, is happy to announce the release of its newest beer, The Traveler, in addition to its expansion into California.
The Traveler, a Belgian-style India Pale Ale (IPA), is a blend of four different hops resulting in a deep golden ale possessing an aromatic citrus, biscuity nose. On the tongue, it is hop forward with a blend of floral notes balanced out by hints of clove from the Belgian yeast.
Adelbert’s owner and brewmaster, Scott Hovey, stated, “In the process of creating this recipe, we taste tested a variety of Belgian IPAs. The flavors ranged from a lightly hopped tripel to the nastiest hop bomb you can imagine. We aimed to meet in the middle to create an easy drinking, one-of-a-kind IPA.”
Adelbert’s will be holding a release party at the brewery on Friday, February 28 during the 5-8 pm tasting room hours.
Bottles and kegs will begin shipping the first week of March. Traveler will join a year-round rotation with the other seven Belgian-style ales Adelbert’s produces.
Timed in partnership with The Traveler release will be Adelbert’s first shipment to California. The brewery has partnered with Wine Warehouse, one of the largest distributors of alcoholic beverages in the United States, for statewide distribution. Along with The Traveler, the first California shipment will include Black Rhino, Philosophizer, Flyin’ Monks, Dancin’ Monks, Tripel B, Scratchin’ Hippo and Naked Nun. California joins Adelbert’s current distributions markets, which includes all over Texas, New Mexico, south Florida and downstate New York.
Kevin Day, Beer Manager of Wine Warehouse, noted, “We are thrilled to be adding the world class Belgian-style ales of Adelbert’s Brewery from Austin, Texas. The quality of their beers is exceptional and we expect Adelbert’s will be a star in our portfolio.”
Hovey concluded, “In my former career in high tech, I spent a lot of time traveling to California and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. It has been my dream since the day we started this brewery to share our ales with beer lovers all over. I’m overjoyed to expand into a market that not only holds fond memories for me, but is one of our country’s top beer meccas.”
