Odell Woodcut Oak Aged Ale No. 1
Appearance: Mahogany with a 1/2 inch fluffy head.
Aroma: Candied granny smith apple.
Taste: Caramel, oak, green apples, and the sour smell sometimes associated with brettomyces.
Mouthfeel: Fizzy and tangy.
Overall: Best Odell beer ever. Sweet, sour, fruity, and one of a kind.

I had the pleasure of going to the Woodcut No. 1 tapping party at Odell’s and sampling it with Doug Odell. This was an awesome brew! I still have an extra bottle of this aging in my basement. Gonna let this bottle age even more. But from what I tasted, this beer was already wonderful. I wrote up a review on my blog along with a video of Doug Odell introducing it to the public.
