After having a nice chat, Legend decided to send me a few of their flagship beers for review. What a great world I live in. And for all the MySpace haters out there, see, it isn’t all bad.

Friday night, I opted out of going to the super snooty Father’s Office in favor of The Other Room, in Venice, CA. To me, intersecting craft beer and high society folks is a real deterrant. I was pleasantly surprised with my finding in The Other Room. It was a almost pitch black bar, with super high ceilings. A few candles lit helped me find my way from my seat to the bar, and helped me read some of the chalk written menu.
While I couldn’t read all of the menu due to the lighting, I found Racer 5, and after that, OAKED Arrogant Bastard. The bar tenders were nice as can be, the servers were nice, and the crowd was not what I expected at all. Everyone was polite, and didn’t act like they were any better than anyone else. It wasn’t the kind of bar to pick up a date, just some chill people who enjoyed good beer or good wine.
