13th Annual Flour City Brewers’ Fest

Submitted by Jonny Fullpint on July 15, 2008 – 2:19 pm No Comment

Frontier Field, Rochester, New York

The Rohrbach Brewing Company is very proud to announce that the 13th Annual Flour City Brewers’ Fest is scheduled for Friday August 15th. The festival will again be at Rochester’s premier summer event venue ~ FRONTIER FIELD! Yes, the home of our own Rochester Red Wings will again host some of the finest microbrewers in the country. The FCBF is presented for the benefit of Holiday Outreach and the New York State Brewers Association.

The gates and concessions will open at 5:00PM and beer sampling will start at 6:00PM and continue until 10:00PM. This event will be held rain or shine in the covered concourse and Walk of Fame areas of Frontier Field. Due to the overwhelming response and excitement of last year’s fest, there will be a limited number of tickets available. In addition we have increased the festival area and there will be two music stages this year.

The food offerings at Frontier Field are always first class, but in addition to more concession stands being opened, the chef will be again roasting a full pig on the pit. In honor of Rochester’s two local breweries, there will be two large tasting areas with exclusively local ales and lagers. One area will feature Rochester’s original microbrewery, the Rohrbach Brewing Company, and one featuring Rochester’s longest operating brewery, the High Falls Brewery.

Tickets for the festival are available in advance on-line at www.fcbrewfest.com, at the Rohrbach Brewing Company, Frontier Field Box Office, Beers of the World, and Southtown Beverage. They are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the event. Also, designated drivers and non-beer drinkers can enjoy all the fest has to offer without the beer-tasting for just $5.00.

If you enjoy handcrafted microbrews, live music, and savory food, all in a great outdoor setting, you can’t miss the 2008 Flour City Brewers’ Fest. For up-to-date details on the FCBF, please continue to check out www.fcbrewfest.com.
