Review - Legend Porter

May 19th, 2008 · No Comments

While checking thefullpint.com’s MySpace page one day, I bumped into Legend Brewery, who also has a MySpace page. After having a nice chat, Legend decided to send me a few of their flagship beers for review. What a great world I live in. And for all the MySpace haters out there, see, it isn’t all bad.

Legend Brewery Legend Porter - 22oz Bottle Poured into my Stone IRS glass. 6%abv.

Review - Maui Brewing CoCoNut PorTeR

May 12th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Maui Brewing CoCoNut PorTeR 5.7% abv poured into a Stone Imperial Russian Stout glass.

Although they are hard to find outside of California, I have been seeing a larger presense of Alesmith’s champagne bottles of primo ale more and more. In 2007, Alesmith celebrated their anniversary with Alesmith Decadence 2007 Imperial Porter. While you may be scratching your head as to why a brew celebrating 2007 has just been released and reviewed, it is because they brew it in 2007, and let it age to drinkable perfection before offering it. It was worth the wait.

Review - Humperdink’s Total Disorder Porter

January 31st, 2008 · No Comments

This is from a local brew-pub in Dallas called Humperdinks. They have won some GABF awards in the past for their Porter and the Large Brewpub of the year so they are legit.
Humperdink’s Total Disorder Porter on draft.
Aroma: Smell the black patent and caramel malts. Light hops that complement the brew well.
