Rogue Revolution Spreads to the Philippines

Submitted by Jonny Fullpint on April 2, 2008 – 8:36 am No Comment

In an attempt to gain more support for its application for admission to the United Nations, and at the behest of its members to extend its reach across the globe, Rogue Nation has introduced its Revolutionary products in the Philippines. The Philippines has joined Finland, England, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Guam, Canada, Japan and China as Rogue Nations.

Jim Araneta (pictured below), Managing Partner of Manila-based Global Beer Exchange, visited the Rogue Nation World Headquarters in Newport on March 8-9 and was introduced to Rogue Brewmaster John Maier’s World Class Brews. While in Newport Jim was inducted into the Rogue Nation and is now the Nation’s first card-carrying Filipino citizen.

Global Beer Exchange has decided to make the following beers available in the Philippines:

  • American Amber Ale
  • Mocha Porter
  • Kells Irish Lager
  • Brutal Bitter
  • Dead Guy Ale
  • Oregon Golden Ale
  • Chocolate Stout
  • Hazelnut Brown Nectar
  • These beers have won over 180 national and international awards for quality and excellence.

Jim Araneta - From the Manila based Global Beer ExchangeAs a father of three, President of Araneta Technologies Inc. (the Philippines’ largest air conditioning corporation), Iron Man tri-athlete, and passionate American craft beer fan, Jim became frustrated at the lack of American craft beer available in the Philippines and, in the true Rogue Spirit, decided to start his own craft beer import company.

Rogue Ales will be one of 3 American craft breweries showcased by Global Beer Exchange along with beers from Belgium, Germany and the Czech Republic.

Rogue Ales, Porters, Stouts and Lagers are made with the finest hops and barley malt, free range coastal water and Pacman top fermenting proprietary yeast. Rogue never uses preservatives, additives or chemicals. All brews are bottled using an oxygen absorbing cap, brown glass for better shelf life, and plenty of malted barley and hops to provide stability.

Celebrating its second century, Rogue Ales is an Artisan Varietal Brewery founded in Oregon in 1988, as one of America’s first 50 microbreweries. Rogue has 550+ awards for taste and quality and is distributed nationally and in 10 other countries.
