Boulder Beer Company “Mixin’ It Up” with the Brewer’s Dozen

Submitted by Jonny Fullpint on March 16, 2009 – 10:30 am No Comment

Boulder Beer - Brewers DozenBeginning this Spring, Boulder Beer Company will roll-out in phases a new version of their Brewer’s Dozen mixed 12-pack. This new package will include beers from their extremely successful Looking Glass Series.

The Brewer’s Dozen will always include four different beers: Hazed & Infused, MoJo India Pale Ale, Sweaty Betty Blonde wheat beer, and a rotating seasonal Looking Glass Series selection. The packaging will also feature newly updated vibrant artwork that will be sure to catch consumers’ attention on the shelf. (Yes, the Hazed, MoJo and Betty labels are backwards…it’s a mirror-image!)

In 2001, Boulder Beer’s Looking Glass Series of beers was born with the first small batch of Hazed & Infused, brewed and named by a longtime brewer at Boulder Beer. Hazed was completely different from their traditional heritage brands. The hazy, unfiltered appearance and the intense aroma and flavors of the infused dry-hop additions created a much bolder beer than anything else in their line-up at the time. Seizing the opportunity, they released Hazed in its own unique packaging to reflect that much bigger taste and aroma inside the bottle and opened the door to a whole new line of beers called their Looking Glass Series. Eight years later, there are now nine beers in this series. These beers all have bigger, more intense flavor profiles than the traditional Boulder Beer heritage brands, and to reflect that, the Looking Glass Series’ packaging has very colorful, bold, bright artwork.

Founded in 1979, Boulder Beer Company received the 43rd brewing license in the country, establishing them as Colorado’s First Microbrewery. From the original English-Style Ales that founded the brewery to the exciting new releases in their Looking Glass Series, Boulder Beer continues to uphold their tradition of innovation in brewing.
