Review – Full Sail LTD Series 02
I wasn’t a fan of LTD Series 01, but this brew is a bit different. If you like Session Lager by Full Sail, this brew is even better. I have found this at Trader Joes, along with many other Full Sail Brewing beers.
Full Sail LTD Series Bottling Number 02 – Poored into a pint glass – 6.4% abv.
Appearance:
Dark gold and clear. A few bubbles can be found rising to the top. Not much of a head to speak of.
Aroma:
Coconut and bananas.
Taste:
Coconut juice, bananas, apple acidity and a little bit of “beer” bitterness.
Mouthfeel:
Light and refreshing.
Overall:
A really excellent drinking beer. It has tons of flavor, it is a bit stronger than a session beer, but drinks like one.

I was a fan of the 1st bottling of Full Sail’s LTD Series, but the 2nd, this beautiful lager, is even closer to perfection. I came across it at the new Fred Meyer in the Columbia House / Grand area of Vancouver, WA. For as heavy and dark as it is, I think it is a bit bitter, but a slight caramel aftertaste makes up for this a bit. Considering the timing of it’s release, early summer, I would have expected a lighter, easier drinking lager, but this second edition of the LTD Series certainly does not disappoint.
