Taste beer, Scotch, wine and spirits at swanky Fremont Studios March 30 & 31, 2012
Seattle, WA – The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) presents, Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival the premier beer, Scotch, wine and whiskey tasting experience. On March 30 and 31, Fremont Studios transforms into a swanky tasting event featuring over 80 libations to swirl, sniff and sip.
General Admission to Hop Scotch is $30 ($25 in advance) and includes tokens to sample beer including some of the first microbrews of the season, and spring-‐release wine from boutique Washington wineries. Guests also have the option to purchase full bottles of select import beers inside the event.
For those stoked about spirits, sample flights of single malt Scotches and Whiskies of Washington may be purchased. “The spirit sampler allows guests to experience another craft malt beverage,” says Phil Megenhardt, Event Producer. The Spirit Samplers include a choice of a self-‐guided tour of Scotland with a flight of 6 -‐ ¼ oz. tastes of single malt Scotches. Or, guests can stay closer to home and take a tour of the Whiskies of Washington from their favorite local Washington distilleries.
Hop Scotch Spring Beer & Scotch Festival is a benefit for SIFF whose mission is to create experiences that bring people together to discover extraordinary films from around the world. It is through the art of cinema that we foster a community that is more informed, aware, and alive. The 38th annual Seattle International Film Festival dates are May 17th-‐June 10th.
