Review – Mission Street Blonde Ale

Mission Street Blonde Ale – 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. 4.4% abv. Brewed by Firestone Walker Brewing exclusively for Trader Joe’s. Purchased at Trader Joe’s, Monrovia, CA.

Appearance: A clear golden yellow, light visible rising carbonation. The head starts at about an inch and quickly subsides to nothing.

Aroma: Very faint levels of malt.

Taste: Bready malt, some well hidden fruitiness, and ends like a light/pale lager.

Mouthfeel: Really thin, and crisp.

Overall: I would pass on this beer unless it was in someones cold ice chest.  The other two Mission Street Beers, the Pale and IPA are fantastic, so please don’t stop at this one.
