Review – Dogfish World Wide Stout
Hard, but not impossible, a few California boys were able to acquire some of the highest regarded Dogfish Head Ale. This brew was reviewed in a tasting by Dan and Mike of thefullpint.com. This actually makes for an interesting review as it was compared side by side by two people with totally different pallets.
Appearance
Dan: Black with a redish tint at the bottom.
Mike: Dark, brown bread.
Aroma
Dan: Black licorice, cloves and a bit of smoke.
Mike: Alcohol , slight smoke, bbq potato chips, raisins.
Taste
Dan: Mesquite smoke, black coffee, grapes.
Mike: Alcohol, prunes, malted barley, slight coffee notes, smoky and sweet.
Overall
Dan: A good strong beer with much complexity. Way sweet, so take your time.
Mike: Ahh! Ok-ish!
