Fat Head’s Brewery & Salon – Fat Head’s Head Hunter IPA – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 7.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber gold with visible rising bubbles. Not much of a head to begin with, but a thin white cap of white froth remains throughout the session.
Aroma: Nice dank tangerine and some spicy sweet malt.
Taste: Pleasant grapefruit and pine like hops. Pineapple, correctly suggested by the label description. Honey covered biscuit. Finishes fruity followed by long piney bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied moderate bubbles.
Overall: A very impressive strong IPA. If this was an option in my area, I would be drinking a lot more of this.
