(Boulder, CO) – Upslope Brewing Company, the Boulder-based craft brewer known for its mountain culture and a passion for the outdoors, will host its fourth annual Backcountry Tap Room on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Fraser, Colorado. The experience offers craft beer fans and outdoor enthusiasts a rustic, pop-up tap room on a mountainside in Colorado’s backcountry-perfect for toasting to the fall season.
Serving as a sneak preview release of Upslope’s new winter Limited Release Spruce Tip IPA, this year’s Backcountry Tap Room, will take place atop Grand Park in Fraser, Colorado. By way of marked trails (~5 miles out-and-back), attendees will enjoy a family-friendly, day hike to soak up some brews and beautiful views.
“Through our 10-year history, Upslope brews have been largely inspired by the outdoors lifestyle,” says Matt Cutter, Founder at Upslope. “With Colorado’s backcountry in our DNA, we look forward to sharing a day outdoors with our friends, both new and old, each year. For our fourth annual event, we’re excited to give our fans a sneak peek at our brand new Winter Seasonal Limited Release—Spruce Tip IPA.”
For the second-straight year, Upslope has teamed up with non-profit partner, Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics (LNT). One hundred percent of profits of this year’s Backcountry Tap Room will benefit LNT, with an emphasis on Colorado-based, 2019 “Hot Spots,” public lands that have sustained damage from overuse.
The 2018 Upslope Brewing Company Backcountry Tap Room will take place atop Grand Park, by way of a two-and-a-half-mile hike. Attendees will receive one can of Upslope’s new Limited Release Spruce Tip IPA, and up to three cans of Upslope’s various year-round styles in 12-ounce cans. There will be games, Steepland String Band on-site, and leashed furry friends are encouraged to attend.
