Willamette Valley Blues & Brews

Submitted by Jonny Fullpint on July 30, 2010 – 10:45 am No Comment

The 2010 Willamette Valley Blues and Brews Festival (Festival), sponsored by Springfield/Eugene Habitat for Humanity, will be held at Island Park in Springfield, Oregon.

This Festival will take place Friday, August 6th from 4pm – 10:30pm and will feature Curtis Salgado as the headliner and Saturday, August 7th from 10:30am – 10:30pm with Karen Lovely, with Special Guest Peter Damman, of the Paul deLay Band as the headliners.

This event, while only in its second year, has become the premier Blues and Brews Fest in our area, and has grown into an event that is highly anticipated, both by musicians and blues/brews lovers throughout the Northwest.

Tickets will be $8.00 daily and will be available at the gate and through various pre-sale sites. We are also asking attendees to bring 3 non-perishable food items to donate to FOOD for Lane County, with the goal of eclipsing our 5,200 pounds gathered at last year’s Festival! Admission will include Tasting Glasses for all attendees 21 and over. Children 13 and under are free when accompanied by an adult. The Kate Darden KidZONE will be open Saturday from noon – 6pm with a separate stage and acts geared specifically for our younger attendees. All Kid ZONE activities are FREE. Children must be accompanied by parents.
