The Monk's KettleThe Monk’s Kettle is very proud to announce a Beer Pairing Dinner featuring the beers of Craftsman Brewing Company. We have been enamored with Craftsman beers for years and have long had a dinner like this in our plans/wishes.

Please join us and Brewer/Founder Mark Jilg on evening of July 11th for a summer dinner menu featuring five of Mark’s finest brews.

When: Monday, July 11 ยท 6:00pm – 9:00pm | Where: The Monk’s Kettle – 3141 16th St. San Francisco, CA

THE MENU:
First: Raw Bar Reception with:
Oysters on the Half Shell, Poached Shrimp, Lobster Salad, Cucumber and Seaweed Salad served with, Mignonette, Cocktail sauce and Warm biscuits
*Paired with “Fireworks” – Saison – 7.3% ABV and “Oyster Stout” – Dry Stout brewed with Oyster Shells – 3.4% ABV

Second: Fried Green Tomato BLT with pork belly rillon, and little gem lettuce
*Paired with “1903″ – Pre-Prohibition Style Lager – 5.8% ABV

Third: “Peking-Style” Liberty Farms Duck, cured in orange, coriander and sage, with gigondas beans, plum sauce and tempura broccoli di ciccio
*Paired with “Triple White Sage” – Belgian Style Triple brewed with aromatic white sage – 9.0% ABV

Dessert: Cow Girl Creamery Fromage Blanc Zabaglione, with local peaches, shortbread
*Paired with Heavenly Hefeweizen – Bavarian Style Hefeweizen – 4.8% ABV
