Review - Skyscraper Lug Nut Lager

One city over from my hometown of Arcadia, is El Monte, and their only commercial brewery, Skyscraper Brewing. While California and west coast brews stereotypically make high octane, high hopped beers, head brewer Phil Sutton makes tamer, balanced beers that he enjoys making and drinking. Skyscraper Brewing Co.’s Lug Nut Lager - 12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. 5.2% abv.

Appearance: Poured with a large white head, that quickly disappeared. The color is a clear bright copper.

Aroma: Bready and odors of a brewery in action. I can smell the grains and yeast as if I was standing in the facility. More aromas were found in my second bottle, as I let it warm up even more.
