My first vote would go to O’Reilly’s Irish Stout from Sly Fox, but it isn’t even on the list. HUGE omission on your part, Jonny!

Any talk of stout and St. Patrick’s Day ‘season’ without mention of O’reilly’s Stout from Sly Fox Brewing (PA) misses the point entirely!

The perfect session beer and, imo, the quintessential Irish Dry Stout!

Since the Merlin is getting lots of love already I will throw a nod to Marin Brew Co San Quentin Breakout Stout.

My all time favorite is Waltney’s Cream Stout, then Mendocino’s Imperial Stout, then Lost Coast Oatmeal Stout, then Mendocino’s Oatmeal Stout.. That how it honestly flows for for me!! I don’t drink very much beer, and only Stouts and Porters.. And that only once a week, if that… And i know that Waltney, isn’t America, but that’s now it flows… If someone made a Stout like Waltney’s Cream Stout.. I would be a follower… And I’m not usually a follower…

What is this 7. 9 Percent rule? That’s crap. Oskar Blues Ten Fidy is the best stout around. Or Iron Horse Mocha Death.
