Submitted by Dan on November 17, 2009 – 12:49 pm 2 Comments

The Bruery 2 Turtle DovesFrom The BrueryBelgian-style dark ale brewed with cocoa nibs & toasted pecans. The second verse of our “Twelve Beers of Christmas” saga begins with caramel and toasty, nutty malt with a luscious layer of chocolate. Happy Holidays!

The Bruery – 2 Turtle Doves – Glass poured at the brewery into a goblet. 12% abv.

Appearance: Pours a root beer brown with a pin stripe of dense khaki head.

Aroma: Fruity Belgian yeast, roasted malt, dark bread crust.

Taste: Fruity Belgian yeast, dark chocolate, pecan, medium bodied coffee.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and perfect amount of tickling carbonation.

Overall: Highly drinkable, deceptively strong, very flavorful. Invokes a warm holiday feeling.
