SKA Ten Pin Porter

Submitted by Dan on January 26, 2010 – 1:46 pm No Comment

From SKA Brewing – Six different malts are combined to create this complex robust porter. Prele and willamette hops are added to fashion the perfect balance for which the ten pin is renowned.

SKA Brewing – Ten Pin Porter – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 5.5% abv. From Total Wine in Phoenix, AZ

Appearance: Pours a brownish black with only a small bit of froth at the top.

Aroma: Light roast, hazelnut, light chocolate.

Taste: Roast, dark chocolate, light coffee notes, and a touch of toffee sweetness. There is some hop spice in there, but it’s subtle.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, medium carbonation.

Overall: Way better than I expected, a solid porter!
