Review – Oskar Blues Gordon

Oskar Blues Brewing – Gordon

12 oz can poured into a pint glass. 8.7% abv.

Appearance: Bright copper red, almost non-existent head. Very translucent.

Aroma: Sugary hops and malts.

Taste: Candied red fruit, mildly bitter hop finish.

Mouthfeel: For a strong ale, very thin and almost flat.

Overall: I’d prefer a bit more carbonation.  I can’t put this ale into one particular style. Some call it a IPA or DIPA, I call it a sling blade….uh I mean an Imperial Red. It DOES say Big Sticky Red right on the can after all.
