Review – Odell Red Ale

Submitted by Dan on May 13, 2009 – 4:49 pm No Comment

Odell Red AleFrom Odell Brewing Co.The Rocky Mountain Goat is no ordinary goat. Just like Odell Red is no ordinary red. We took the American-style red to a whole new level by adding a variety of aggressive American hops-giving this ale a distinctive fresh hop aroma and flavor. We think you’ll agree this red has some serious kick.

Odell Brewing Co. – Red Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 6.5% abv.

Appearance: Poured a dark apple skin red. Translucent with a pillowing, 1 inch head of foam.

Aroma: Light, piney hops and some toasty, nutty malts holding it together.
Taste: A very dry, yet punctuated hoppy ale, with a hint of sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Very thin.

Overall: A tasty, flavorful hoppy, toasty ale.
