Review – Long Trail IPA

Submitted by Dan on May 29, 2008 – 2:12 pm No Comment

One of my first introductions to craft brew was Double Bagger from Long Trail, from Bridgewater Corners, VT. I went to visit Evan from thefullpint, and he had Long Trail IPA in his well stocked fridge. I had a great hunch this would be close to an English IPA, and was ready for it.

Appearance:
Apricot skin color. No head, and very cloudy.

Aroma:
Citrus and dish detergent. (I would definitely give ol’ Ferman the benefit of the doubt, and say his glasses didn’t have soap on them)

Taste:
Spicy hop, lemon twang, and malt.

Mouthfeel:
Thick and sticky.

Overall:
Not a bad IPA at all. I would like to try this on tap, not sure how I would accomplish that, as I don’t go to the east coast often enough.
